Why Hire An Architect

Getting started on a design project can be an overwhelming task. If you are planning a project you may already have an idea of your wants and needs for the design. Or perhaps, you simply know that something needs to change but do not know where to begin. In either case, you have taken the initial steps in the design process and an AIA architect can help orient you during the initial stages and will continue to work with you as the project develops.

Five Stages of the Design Process

Originate, Focus, Design, Build, Occupy
The Five Phases of the Design Process

Throughout these phases, the architect will address the necessary issues specific to your project type such as budget, space planning and organization, material selection, building code analysis, construction management etc., and most importantly, your vision. No matter what kind of project you have in mind, you should speak with an architect who is a member of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) at the earliest stage possible. Architects have the education, training, experience and vision to maximize your construction dollar and ease the entire design and construction process.
